How it Began It all started way back in 2001 when Sabrah, with the ink still drying on her Anthropology degree from University of Oregon, was living in New Mexico with her husband Ryan. She had tons of time on her hands and spent the bulk of it playing with her new (and first ever) computer. With the help of the Adobe Suite, Sabrah quickly learned graphic design, creating cards and CD covers for friends and family. She was hooked. As a life-long art and design lover, the wheels began to turn and Sabrah wondered how she could turn this crazy fun into a career. Well, wouldn’t you know? Two years later, Sabrah graduated with a second BA in Art from Southern Oregon University and promptly landed a job with Kinesis where she learned to apply her skills to branding and marketing for small businesses. In 2007, Sabrah went out on her own, started Maple Creative, and has been helping badass business owners deliver their messages in style ever since. Powerful Creative Design Bringing artistic design solutions to inspired businesses with an eye for steady growth is her passion. The unique Maple Creative Discovery Process is her method. When she’s not leading the team, Sabrah can be found beneath a tree on the shore of a beautiful body of water with her husband Ryan and her two bright, imaginative children Rowan and Fiona. Kathleen joined the Maple Creative team way back in 2008 and worked with Sabrah for several years before the company was even born. She moved to Southern Oregon in 1994 to teach Art at SOU. Kathleen studied Art at San Diego State University, design at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, and earned her MFA in Painting and Drawing from USC. She’s the one who will design your business logo, stationery, brochure, ad, billboard, poster, packaging...you get the idea. Kathleen gets fired up with the flow of ideas when the creative process begins and loves the process of figuring out how to convey ideas through color, shape, and composition. When she’s not at work she loves to travel the world with her husband, a talented musician, her teenager, and her Pug “Black as the Night”, an eternal teenager. Kathleen lives in Portland, Oregon and loves potatoes.

Mikaela joined the Maple Creative team in early 2022 and has a deep appreciation for great design. She could easily be found checking out the unique packaging design at the grocery store. She really enjoys seeing a project go from nothing to something beautiful or awesome. Her background is in medical billing and marketing and thoroughly enjoys helping others reach their goals. When she’s not working, Mikaela enjoys serving with local community service projects, traveling and spending time her husband and rambunctious corgi pup, Toast. She lives locally in Southern Oregon and loves sourdough bread.
